British Lions

This framed double door from Gujarat shines with beautiful natural wood and a light lacquer patina. The exquisitely carved door panels feature two lions reminiscent of the coat of arms of England and heart-shaped leaves with flowers. The doors have brass handles and are studded with handmade nails featuring a cross-hatched pattern. The frame’s entablature is decorated with six-sided geometric shapes similar to those adorning the Taj Mahal.

This wooden door from India is between 80-100 years old. It was made by skilled craftsmen from solid Teak and carved with traditional Mughal patterns and metalwork. This door combines strength for security along with artistry for beauty and devotion.  It is offered in its original condition, which shows normal wear and original paint.
